Lead by example by investing time to apply what you request from your teams, to inspire and motivate them

Just like a parent who leads by example and invests time in nurturing and supporting their child’s growth and development, a leader can inspire and motivate its team members to achieve their full potential and contribute to the success of the organization.
Leaders start by demonstrating commitment to the organization’s goals and values and are setting a model through their actions, behaviors, and decision-making. For example, if they are asking the team members to have performance dialogues, they are also engaged in them. Leaders continue by providing guidance and support where needed, helping team members to develop their skills and capabilities, and offering feedback and recognition to encourage growth and development.
Like children looking up to their parents, people feel inspired by their leaders when they are authentic, vulnerable and connected through same values. People are more likely to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional results when leaders foster trust, encourage collaboration and are creating a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work. Equally important is to emphasize the importance of work-life balance and modelling healthy behaviors and supporting flexible working arrangements to enable their teams to achieve a sustainable and fulfilling work-life integration. How are you as a leader leading by example?
